Prince Edward Island (PEI) has invited 127 candidates to apply for nomination through their Express Entry, Labour Impact, and Business Work Permit Entrepreneur Streams. Successful nominees may subsequently be invited to apply for Canadian permanent residence.
Business Work Permit Entrepreneur
Prince Edward Island is a small Atlantic province in Canada, both in size and population. The eastern Atlantic island also features a rich coastal culture with thriving tourism, fishing, and agricultural industries. PEI hosts three of the following immigration categories that give prospective newcomers the chance to be nominated for Canadian permanent residence: Express Entry, Labour Impact, and Business Work Permit Entrepreneur.
To submit an Expression of Interest to PEI’s Express Entry stream, one must first be eligible to submit a federal Express Entry profile. In fact, anyone with an active Express Entry profile is eligible to submit an Expression of Interest to this. However, Prince Edward Island has indicated that they prioritize candidates with previous ties to the province.
PEI’s Labour Impact Category offers three streams: PEI Skilled Worker, PEI Critical Worker, and PEI International Graduate. These streams require an eligible job offer in the province in addition to meeting other minimum language, education, and previous work experience requirements
