The province of Prince Edward Island has issued four provincial nominee program (PNP) draws in 30 days, inviting 129 applicants to apply. It has been a very busy month for PNPs. This could be a good sign that immigration to Canada is slowly returning to normal as economies begin to reopen following the COVID-19 pandemic.
The number of invitations issued is not as high as larger Canadian provinces like Ontario and British Columbia but as Canada’s smallest province, four draws in 30 days is more than we have seen in the last 12 months.
To be eligible for nomination through the Work Permit stream you must:
The PEI Express Entry stream manages the intake of several programs, including ones for applicants outside of PEI but it is primarily focused on candidates currently residing in the province.
In order to be eligible for this program, an applicant must first have an Express Entry profile with Immigration, Refugee, and Citizenship Canada. After completion of the IRCC Express Entry profile, an applicant must then create a separate application to PEI’s Express Entry system.
Famous for its signature red beaches, incredible seafood, and the iconic Anne of Green Gables stories, PEI is Canada’s smallest province. PEI is truly the gem of the Maritime provinces and an excellent place to live or visit.
