B.C. PNP: 74 invitations in Tech Pilot draw

On February 9, 2021, British Columbia held its draw, and as its result, 74 candidates have been invited to apply for provincial nomination.

British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) Tech Pilot has invited the candidates from the following categories:

  • Express Entry BC
  • Skills immigration

The candidates from the Skilled worker and International Graduate subcategories required a provincial score of 80.

Presented in 2017, the Tech Pilot gives an optimized pathway to Canadian permanent residence for worldwide ability with a bid for employment in one of the pilot’s 29 qualified tech occupations.

The draw for employment should be at any rate one year in span and have at any rate 120 days staying on it at the hour of utilization.

The BC PNP Tech Pilot has been broadened a few times since its dispatch and is as of now operational until June 2021.

BC PNP categories are managed under British Columbia’s Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS).

If you want to apply through the SIRS, then the eligible candidates are required to register an account. After registering an account, the candidates are assigned a score on various human capital characteristics like education, work experience, and language proficiency.

The candidates with the highest scores in the pool are invited to apply for provincial nomination under any new draw. The involved streams under the SIRS require the candidates to have a valid job offer from an employer in British Columbia.

The candidates must be registered through the federal Express Entry System and British Columbia’s Skills Immigration Registration System to receive the invitation for Express Entry British Columbia.

The Express Entry system is a federal’s government based application system. The candidates registered in this portal or system are assessed and given points on various selection factors of age, education, work experience, and language proficiency in either English or French.

The candidates having a profile in provincial nomination receive an additional 600 scores in their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score.

In 2021, British Columbia has held 6 draws from the various PNP domains, and the province has invited 800 candidates to apply for provincial nomination.
