The Challenge:

Our client, a 60-year-old woman, is the director for a corporation that’s primary objective is to promote environmental systems and eco-friendly business opportunities among communities in her country of residence.

After raising her family, she wanted to study a program in Canada at a master’s level, in environmental management to be able to add value in her role as director. Being able to learn on a practical level and theoretical level was the reason why this program was chosen.

Our client was previously refused twice for a study permit by the government of Canada.

The Solution:

Our office made a request to receive the case files as when a client is refused, a generic refusal is received. The case files take approximately 30-40 business days to receive, however they provide insight into an application, as a visa officer takes notes while reviewing a case, which is what you need to properly address the claims stated.

After reviewing the case files, we listed all the documents needed as supporting evidence to our client. A cover letter was written, identifying the reasons for refusal with the two previous applications submitted. Documents that we were providing to support these claims made by the visa officer were indicated.

A compelling narrative was presented to the visa officer, explaining the reasons why she should be approved. We conducted two reviews of our client’s application before submitting the application to the government of Canada.

The result:

Our client was approved for a study permit, 6 weeks after submission.

She can now progress in her professional career growth and further develop the skills needed as director upon her return to her country of residence.
